Finbarr O'Connell

Finbarr O’Connell is the Managing Partner of Re10, London and has over 25 years restructuring and turnaround experience at the highest level. Prior to joining Re10, Finbarr spent 10 years with KPMG where he was a Partner of KPMG Restructuring, London.

Finbarr has experience on complex solvent and insolvent liquidations, large administrations and receiverships, as well as stockbroker and derivative trader insolvencies. Finbarr O’Connell is an expert in personal insolvency and international asset tracing, assisting creditors in such jurisdictions as the BVI, USA, Andorra, Switzerland and the Channel Islands.

Finbarr has an exemplary career record, being a past president of the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He is also a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and Member of the Institute of Credit Management.

Andrew Bowers

Andrew Bowers is a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and the Insolvency Practitioners Association and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Andy trained as an accountant then entered the insolvency profession in 1988 whilst working overseas and was one of the first students to pass the JIEB exams in 1990. Andy worked for one of the large firms in London during the 1990’s and was involved with some of the most widely publicised corporate failures of recent times.

Andrew has extensive international corporate recovery experience having worked on major assignments in Spain, Jamaica and Thailand and dealt with creditors and assets located in numerous jurisdictions.

Andrew has been involved in saving many businesses and jobs and has an excellent track record in achieving results when faced with the most difficult of circumstances.

Nimish Patel

Nimish Patel has over 23 years restructuring and turnaround experience. Nimish is a qualified accountant, and member of the ICAEW, the Turnaround Association, the BACCA and a member of R3. Nimish is also a member of the Ethics Board of the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Nimish was recruited as a chartered accountant from Grant Thornton in 1992 by Ernst and Young. He joined the team working on Olympia and York’s Canary Wharf project which performed a hugely successful reconstruction of the group, now in the FTSE 100.

Whilst at Ernst and Young, Nimish also played a key role in a number of high-profile cases, including the administration of British and Commonwealth Holdings Plc and a restructuring assignment for the Romanian government’s State Ownership Fund of a steelworks that, at its peak, had more than 20,000 employees.

Bijal Shah

Bijal Shah is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Turnaround Management Association. Bijal trained at BDO Stoy Hayward in London specialising in corporate restructuring.

As well as carrying out corporate viability investigations for banking clients,
Bijal has more recently been involved in the highly successful turnaround of a major software company. He has also acted as an expert witness in a number of court cases.

Adam Stephens

Adam joined Re10 following 12 years at KPMG where he worked with Finbarr O’Connell as part of KPMG Restructuring London specialising in fraud and pensions. Adams arrival strengthens the service offering Re10 is able to provide and will increase activity in the areas where both Adam and Finbarr have extensive experience.

Adam was educated at Oxford, where he majored in Chemistry and achieved the position of first in his year. He joined KPMG where he qualified as an ACA  accountant before specialising in insolvency. During his time with KPMG, Adam became a Senior Manager, working very closely with Finbarr O’Connell, a relationship that has so far lasted nearly 10 years.
