Forensics - Raj Rajani joins Re10

Re10 saves jobs at Age Concern

Re10 has successfully completed the first phase of the administration of Age Concern – Barking & Dagenham.

Since being appointed as administrators on 1 April 2010, both Finbarr O’Connell and Nimish Patel have secured the services to the community provided by Age Concern under the Personal Care banner with the retention of current employees.

Re10 presents at ‘The Lawyer’ Conference

Nimish Patel was invited to deliver a key-note speech on ‘Turnaround for the SME’ at this year’s conference for the legal profession run by The Lawyer in London on 15 June.

Organised in association with the Turnaround Management Association and INSOL Europe, this year’s conference was entitled ‘Insolvency Restructuring & Turnaround’ and looked at the latest trends and best practice strategies for capitalising on change in the current market and was intended as a complete guide for law firms.

Charities sitting on £600m pension deficit

In September 2009 ‘Third Sector’ reported that the UK’s top 20 charities could be sitting on pension deficits totalling in excess of £600m.

This estimate was based on the past accounts of the top fundraising charities who predicted a shortfall in their pension funds. According to the pension’s actuary Alexander Forbes, this equated to an increase in deficit of over £100m for those top 20 charities.

Re10 Appointed as Administrators of Age Concern Barking & Dagenham

On 1 April 2010 Finbarr O’ Connell and Nimish Patel of Re10 were appointed administrators to Age Concern Barking & Dagenham on 1 April 2010. Age Concern Barking & Dagenham is a registered charity and a very valuable supplier of services to the elderly of Barking and Dagenham. It is part of the national federation of Age Concern entities. The main cause of the insolvency of this charity is its very substantial pension deficit liability.
